Chris Gordon
Born in Waycross, GA, Chris grew up playing three major sports. He picked up golf at the age of 20, and returned to college, at Cumberland University (TN) where he received a golf scholarship and played for three years. In 1998, Chris began working for the Sea Island Resort in the Golf Learning Center and Spa for eight years. From 1999-2001, Chris played on the mini tours while working with many great instructors (i.e., Mike Shannon, Jack Lumpkin, Mike Taylor, and Dr. Greg Rose).
In 2019, Chris began working with George Sigetti and the TGA kids after school programs. After a few years, Chris created his own brand SSG (LLC) and taught as an instructor around the Metro-Atlanta area. Throughout his many years in the game of golf, Chris has been fortunate to teach, play with, or caddie for: Kevin Chappel, Condoleezza Rice, Matt Kuchar, Jonathan Byrd, James Mason, Inbee Park, Authur Blank, Lee Hodges, James (JJ) Grey, Phil Michelson, Tom Watson, and a host of Juniors, Korn Ferry, and LPGA players across the U.S.
In 2023, Chris moved to the Valdosta area where he projected his desire to pass along his knowledge of the game, creating programs for adults, and the junior golf programs for the Stone Creek GC / Community. We welcome him and the Southern Swing Golf commitment to creating interest, education, and "MORE FUN" for juniors and adults.
